I just recently attacked this problem and have scripted the process of getting everything working based on the official instructions. For advanced users, pick a nice location you want the lib, bin and include installed and move them manually. The script depends on knowing the latest OpenMP runtime from Intel, which can be altered at the top of the script.

The script should work out of the box with vanilla Mavericks, except for one small problem. In the OpenML runtime make script, it does not reliably accept clang when specified and continues with the default GCC. As such, if you don't have GCC installed which is not normal on out of the box Mavericksit will fail to build. Newer builds of OpenML might break this script, so use at your own peril on newer versions.

I am not getting any issue while building the graphhopper. But when I am trying to build my own project then I am getting following issue. You are using the gcc 4. The problem is Snow Leopard which, as others have said here, has a very old version of gcc. So I had to build a recent version of libcxx. There is a macports port but no recipe for homebrew. I built it manually but there are some things I had to go around to succede.

I've installed cocoa pods library and some frameworks through it. Now when I compile project the build fails. Error: ld: library not found for -lPods-Project clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 use -v to see invocation.

Fixed it by deleting the -lPods-Projectname. Whenever I execute "pod install" it leads me to spend several hours of fixing something related with it. So, I deleted CocoaPods stuff and do not have problems any more! Now I am lucky and happy man. Ensure that Build Active Architectures Only settings for both of your project and the Pods project were equal for debug and release configuration! That's was a problem in my case. We often set the debug yes and set the release no. I realized the xcproject file was opened instead of the updated workspace.

This fixed my error. Hope this information will help others too. I had a very different experience. I tried removed the library from build settings to no avail. And honestly, I couldn't see the logic behind it.

Using Libraries in C++ (Static Linking)

Hello - I searched the issues here as well as in stackOverflow, but cannot seem to find a resolution to this problem. Any chance you could post a screenshot of your Xcode setup? Can you verify you added the Mapbox framework in the embedded framework section? I will post a screenshot of xCode setup in a moment but yes I embedded the Mapbox framework in the embedded framework settings under the General Tab for my project.
